Overall Ministry Description:

North Pointe Kids, the children’s ministry of North Pointe in Edmond, Oklahoma provides relevant, age appropriate learning and connection opportunities for families with children from birth to 6th grade. Our children’s ministry is dedicated to partnering with parents to help raise children to have a solid and growing relationship with Christ. During the Connecting Group hour and worship services on Sunday mornings, on Wednesday nights, and at community events, ministry for kids is provided and executed by committed volunteers led by the North Pointe Kid’s Minister.


The North Pointe Kid’s Minister will work with the pastor and elders to achieve the goals of North Pointe. The North Pointe Kid’s Minister will also be responsible for the specific goals related to a successful ministry to children and parents.   1. Must be driven to reach kids who do not know Christ by being relevant and providing a great wholesome and safe environmentspace for them to connect with other kids and safe leaders
  2. Must be able to inspire, recruit, retain, and lead a capable, credible, group of adult workers who have been screened through the appropriate process to ensure a safe secure environment that facilitates growing young Disciples of Christ


  1. Must be able to learn quickly and handle the flexibility of working in a fast-paced and wonderfully unpredictable environment


  1. Must be passionate about sharing the North Pointe Kid’s Ministry vision with families in the church, volunteers, and people in the community


  1. Must be a fanaticdeliberate about connecting with people and communicating your passion to inspire and inform parents and possible volunteers


1.Must be serious about recognizing the value of all the people God places around you and willing to help them discover and use their gifts and talents to their fullest potential

Your Mission:

• Grow campus attendance by creating and implementing a strategy that draws families into the church through North Pointe’s Kids Ministry


• Lead and develop teams and volunteers so that they are operating in their strengths and being most effective in their roles as North Pointe Kid’s Ministry leaders and volunteers


• Create a presence of North Pointe’s kid’s ministry in the community through outreach events


• Minister to the families and aid in connecting what happens on the weekend with what happens at home 


• Identify potential North Pointe Kid’s volunteers by casting vision, clarifying values, and creating a culture of success for the volunteer team


• Meet and exceed the required number of volunteers for North Pointe Kids on Sundays, Wednesday nights, and outreach events


• Facilitate and coordinate the training, orientation, and monitoring of North Pointe Kid’s volunteers


• Plan all volunteer appreciation events, efforts, and correspondence


• Execute administrative tasks related to the position (ie. cards to absent kids, background and reference checks for volunteers, etc.)
