Job Description:

Bible Chapel, a non-denominational community church located in Auburn, Washington, is currently looking for a senior pastor.

Our church is an evangelical, Bible centered body, which is committed to spiritual and numerical growth to fulfill the Great Commission. We average 100 people in the Sunday morning worship service. We have a Jr/Sr High youth group as well as Nursery and Sunday School programs for all ages.

Auburn, Washington is centrally located between Seattle and Tacoma, with approximately 74,000 residents. We are about 17 miles (30 minutes) from SeaTac Airport. There is access to a wide variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, boating, and water sports. Scenic Mount Rainier National Park is a 60 minute drive from Auburn, and renowned ski resorts are less than one hour from town.

Our pastor must be a mature God glorifying, Christ-centered, Spirit-led individual. God's Word must be his authority, and he must have a passion for preaching, teaching, and shepherding. He should give visionary leadership to the congregation in order to raise up leaders, teach and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, to exalt God in worship, to reach out to others, and build up one another in Jesus Christ.

Although we fully welcome people from all walks of life and with differing theological views, our teaching and preaching come from our belief that the Bible teaches the five Solas of the Reformation and the Doctrines of Grace identified by the acronym T.U.L.I.P.

We also believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit continue today and should be sought after as in the NT church. We practice believer’s baptism and teach that men and women are equal in value and worth, but have different roles in the function of the church as they do in biblical marriage.

We believe in the imminent return of Christ and that the 1000 years of Revelation 20 is symbolic of the period of time that started when Christ came the first time to bind Satan and will end when Christ returns to destroy Satan and usher in the “new heavens & new earth”.
