Job Description:

Position Title:                      Pastor of Administration

Reports to:                           Lead Pastor


Job Purpose:

The Pastor of Administration will ensure that the systems, practices, activities, and policies of the church are responsibly and effectively carried out in accordance with the mission of Warsaw Community Church. This pastoral position will serve in partnership with Lead Pastor, Elders, etc. This position does not have direct management responsibility over others but will be engaged in discipling and leading Department Heads and other staff.



  1. Undergraduate degree required; Graduate degree in Business or Ministry preferred
  2. Work experience in business or corporate workplace required
  3. Ability to apply organizational leadership in a local church setting
  4. Servant leadership qualities in providing clear direction and accountability
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  6. Teachable and flexible with high character


Working Environment:

Warsaw Community Church believes in a culture of discipleship that emphasizes teamwork, serving, and growth. The Pastor of Administration, as an extension of the Executive Leadership Team, is integral to nurturing and sustaining this culture in their areas of responsibility. The Pastor of Administration needs to be relational while also being an organized, assertive, and strategic leader. Hard skills are needed to ensure systems, best practices, and policies are followed efficiently and effectively. Significant discretion on carrying out responsibilities exists, but consistent communication and interaction with supervisor and team is a must. This full-time, salaried position would require 45 hours per week, mostly weekdays. Working some nights and weekends would be necessary to accommodate ministry needs. 


Essential Functions:

  1. Organizational and Process Management
  2. Work in partnership on the continued implementation of strategic plan
  3. Contribute and communicate to Department Heads and their ministry areas’ organizational and process management needs


  1. Lead the Administrative Teams
  2. Discipleship – requires someone who is passionate about helping others apply the truth of the God’s Word to their everyday life
  3. Coordinate the Personnel Team’s work to maintain appropriate policies and practices that maximize the effectiveness of the church staff
  4. Contribute to all shared support resources, such as IT, Facilities, Communications


  1. Assist various teams
  2. Assist Lead Pastor in all human resources operations, evaluating, training, and directing staff, as well as developing needed staff positions and hiring
  3. Serve on the Finance, Operations, Management, Office Support Staff, Personnel, and Site Development Teams
  4. Leading projects through various stages to completion
