Full Time with benefits.

The Worship Arts Associate will assist the Worship Arts Pastor in the areas of worship leading, technical support, and (possibly) media content creation. The primary role is co-leading and leading worship for church-wide services at the discretion of the Worship Arts Pastor and leading worship for the high school band while they are in session during the school year. The secondary role is to act as a support to the tech ministry as needed to reset stages, help with set builds, patch instruments in the correct channels, and assist with events that the church hosts. The third role is somewhat optional but preferred: to help capture and create video / media content for use in the church-wide services.

GFC's worship style is "contemporary" (drums, electric(s), bass, guitar, keys/piano, Hammond B3), with the frequent use of hymns. The normal style of music is along the lines of Chris Tomlin or Hillsong, however we also have acoustic weeks, ensembles, an occasional mix of instruments, and have even had a few bluegrass weeks. Our band members are very talented and aim to learn the exact parts of a song, with the ability to try new things. Over all, our services are done well but not over-produced or akin to a concert (we don't rely on MultiTracks, we don't have live iMag during worship, and we don't use moving lights). We aim for time of genuine worship that is distraction-free. Biblically-based lyrical content will always trump the style or energy of a song. GFCers are not particularly charismatic or overtly expressive during worship times, but they do appreciate thoughtful and genuine times of worshiping together.
