Job Description:

The HR Coordinator is responsible for preparing and managing all Human Resource records for the organization.  The HR Coordinator provides recommendations for Employee Benefits and keeps the organization in compliance with Department of Labor requirements for non-profits.  This position requires the individual use discretion and maintain extreme confidentiality.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1.   Subject matter expert on medical and dental recommendations for the organization’s employees
2.   Maintain updated job descriptions
3.   Maintain Paid Time Off requests from employees
4.   Post job openings through various resources and manage the jobs email in box
5.   Maintain highest level of confidentiality of all financial and personnel information
6.   Process payroll on a semi-monthly basis
7.   Maintain ACA Compliance
8.   Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly payroll tax reports; make necessary deposits and preparation of W2s at year-end
9.   Assist with preparation of all documentation for annual CPA review/audit
10. Assist Pastor of Operations with other areas as needed



1.  Education
      a. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
2.  Essential Experience
      a. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
      b. Proficient in Shelby Financials Online, QuickBooks, Church Community Builder, APS Payroll
3.  Preferred Experience
      a. Experience with HR management, software, best practices
      b. Experience with various financial software
      c. Experience with database software
