Job Description:

Ministry Objective: Oversee the youth ministry (7th-12th Grade). Equip and train parents to engage their youth spiritually.


Time: 15 hours per week; this includes Sunday school, Sunday Worship Services, and Wednesday Night Youth Service. The Director of Youth Ministries is also expected to attend weekly staff meeting and be in the office for one three-hour period weekly.

-Actively pursuing a calling to ministry.

-Support for church’s doctrinal statement and vision.

-A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred, but other qualified candidates will be considered.

-Experience, either volunteer or part-time, is preferred.


Responsible To: The Director of Youth Ministries will be responsible to the Minister of Education working in conjunction with the Pastor.



-Cultivate a team of volunteer leaders. Meet regularly to coordinate, encourage, and equip them.

-Shepherd the students in your ministry area.

-Lead the mid-week service for our youth ministry.

-Connect parents of students that are not members of our church into our Sunday school ministry.

-Plan and coordinate opportunities for mission service, outreach, and fellowship for the students.

-Correspond with volunteers on a regular basis with reminders, notes of encouragement and appreciation, and announcements.

-Ensure that the schedule of events and ministry reminders are communicated to students and parents through multiple mediums well in advance of events.

-Pastorally care for youth and their families.

-Engage the youth in their outside events as time permits (concerts, sports games, graduations, etc.).

-Actively nurture the relationships of the youth to the rest of the church body.

-Attend weekly staff meetings.

-In conjunction with the Minister of Education, prepare a yearly budget and track expenditures for the youth area.

-Coordinate with volunteers to ensure all activities are adequately chaperoned.

Salary: $15,000

Additional: Cell Phone Reimbursement ($50/month); Mileage Reimbursement
