Job Description:

Partner with Ginghamsburg ministry leaders to communicate God’s ministry and mission through Ginghamsburg Church via the global web, and serve with the weekend live production media team to make excellent worship happen both online and “in the room.” Ginghamsburg is a large, missionally focused United Methodist faith community in Southwest Ohio (just north of Dayton.)

Education & Experience:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in media, live event production support or web-related field and/or equivalent professional experience

Skill Requirements:
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and also enjoys teaming with others
  • Familiar with effective website design and content principles
  • Working knowledge of HTML preferred
  • Experience working in Expression Engine and WordPress content management systems helpful
  • Comfortable with Mac hardware and software
  • Experience running live event media equipment (e.g., camera, switcher, light board, media presentation machine/software, etc.) helpful; can be taught
  • Has basic technical hardware troubleshooting abilities
  • Experience in recruiting/deploying volunteer servants 
  • Video production and graphic design capabilities helpful but not required
Position Requirements:
  • Schedule flexibility
  • Will require limited evening and consistent weekend hours; Tuesday through Sunday 1pm work week 
  • Assist with content management and updates to the Ginghamsburg website
  • Serve as the staff project coordinator for website development projects, interfacing with website design and development vendors as required
  • Serve as the primary staff liaison to the website hosting and development vendors for Ginghamsburg websites and the online campus, identifying issues, opening trouble tickets and tracking issues to resolution
  • Track, store, package and upload digital assets to the Ginghamsburg online e-store
  • Assist with ongoing digital asset storage management across the Communications/Media team
  • Serve with the live weekend worship media/technical team in support of weekend worship celebrations 
  • Help recruit, train and deploy unpaid servants who serve in weekend worship
  • Potentially provide additional communications/media team capacity for print design, digital design and video projects if experienced in those areas and with associated software as time permits
