Job Description:

SCHEDULE:   Regular, Part-time, 12 months, 20-29 hours per week

                                                                                                                                               

REPORTING SUPERVISOR:  Maintenance Supervisor           

 

JOB FUNCTION:

Performs custodial duties such as cleaning the interior of the building, set-up and preparation for events, and miscellaneous duties as assigned.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Set-up and prepare for events. This may include carrying, unfolding, climbing, hanging and arranging tables, chairs, furniture, etc.

  1. Ability to communicate personal testimony of coming to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. 
  2. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
  3. Ability to speak, read, understand, and write clearly in the English language.
  4. Ability to lift, bend, and squat.
  5. Ability to set goals, prioritize tasks, and evaluate progress toward goals in order to accomplish assigned work.
  6. Good interpersonal communication skills.
  7. Basic understanding of math, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and using ratios.
  8. Ability to accept responsibility for the security of equipment, supplies, and keys.
  9. Ability to climb ladders to a height of 10 feet.
  10. Ability to see clearly.
  11. Ability to hear to respond to alarms and oral communications.
  12. Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
  13. Ability to work independently or in a team.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.  The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
