St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, a 3700 member congregation in Katy, TX is now seeking an Assistant Director of Student Ministries. This is a full-time position designed to assist the Director in creating an overall student program that is glorifying
to God and leads young people into a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ.
Main responsibilities would be to implement and grow the Student Ministries Program at our west campus as well as planning and organizing camps for both the main and west campus. The position normally requires a bachelor’s degree, some relevant previous
experience with students, strong evidence of personal spiritual maturity, an understanding of Christian discipleship, and a heart of service to students and to others. He or she must also be a person of faith, embodying and modeling for students and volunteers
a Christian lifestyle of high moral and ethical standards and integrity.
Specific responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to, assisting the Director in: the planning and leadership of the student ministries program; preparing and leading Bible studies, programs, and other weekly gatherings; building relationships
with students and volunteers through attending school and community functions and regular communications; and coordinating and attending retreats, special events and mission trips which take place throughout the year. The Assistant Director of Student Ministries
will be accountable to the Director and the Pastor of our west campus. Salary range is from the mid 30's to $40,000. Benefits are available.
