In 2009 Outreach Magazine listed Community of Faith as one of the youngest, fastest growing churches in the United States. In 2016, with a brand new 2800 seat worship center and new children’s space, the church is poised to continue to build an even greater
"Community of Faith" that loves God, loves people and continues to be a tireless advocate for the broken and forgotten.
Community of Faith Church lives up to its name in several ways. First, when attending, the experience is relaxed and comfortable with a ‘come as you are’ message. Families love to hang out, kids have a blast and most of the time food is involved. When serving,
there is a place for everyone to contribute. When impacting the world, there is a passion that runs deep and contagious. At the core of this community atmosphere is a desire to understand and walk the journey of faith in Christ together, at home and abroad.
The Bigger Picture:
In 2003, after serving on the mission field for nearly 10 years, Pastor Mark Shook and his wife Laura held the first service of Community of Faith to 187 people. Today just a few years later over 100,000 people have come through the doors, over 10,000 have
committed their life to Christ, approximately 5,220 have been baptized, about 1600 babies have been dedicated, 49 Missions Trips have impacted 16 countries and countless lives have been changed. Actions speak louder than words and when COF chose to build an
orphanage before a building for their own church to meet, it was clear where their priorities reside.
Located northwest of Houston on 42 acres near the Cypress area, Community of Faith has a service on Saturday night and two on Sunday. Families come from all over this growing community to experience teaching that's relevant to everyday life, celebrate what
God has done and serve the world.
