This children’s pastor position is coming available in January of 2016. Currently our children’s pastor is bi-vocational and works 10 hours a week. We are expanding the position.
This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate with some experience or a current volunteer children’s pastor/leader who is ready to move into full-time vocational ministry.
The new position will be approximately 20 hours of children's ministry and 20 hours of ministry in other areas of the church.
Children's ministry experience and some education in children’s ministry is required. A children’s ministry degree is not required.
Approximately 25 children currently participate in children’s church but the church and children’s ministry are growing. Sunday School and mid-week children’s ministry are also provided. Oversight to these areas are part of the responsibilities.
Ministry credentials with the Assemblies of God are required. If the candidate does not currently hold credential with the A/G, they will need to be gained as soon as possible after employment.
We will consider single or married individuals.
Candidates should have strong relational and communication skills with children. Strong skill in recruiting and training volunteers essential. Computer and graphic skills helpful. Word, power point, publisher and Photoshop programs owned by church. Other
technology skills beneficial as the facility has projection, some lighting, audio, media shout and power point capabilities. Video editing software is also available.
