Our current staff member in this position has helped to reorganize and build the family/youth ministry over the last 2 years using “Orange” curriculum, a “Drive Faith Home” resource center, and a philosophy of intergenerational ministry. With his family
moving out of state for his wife’s Master’s program we are praying for the next person to join the staff to continue casting vision, equipping parents, and leading/working with adult volunteers to help the church form youth as disciples who will, in turn,
impact their friends and families. The new staff member would have a foundation to build upon, renovated and dedicated youth ministry space, and the opportunity to not only minister among existing families, but help Christ Church grow in reaching many more
The children/youth ministry currently averages 50-60 students who weekly gather in large groups/small groups on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings along with special events throughout the year. This is a growing program that draws from several schools
and needs a mature, creative leader. The Director/Minister of Youth and Family Ministry will take direct leadership of the Jr./High school youth groups; organizing events for outreach, discipleship, fellowship, and youth participation in church wide activities;
help recruit and train adult leaders; oversee the Children's ministry by coordinating and resourcing the elementary youth group (Kids Club) leaders, the Sunday school teachers supported by the Family Ministry Team. In addition the Director/Minister of Youth
and Family Ministry will work to resource parents and coordinate with other ministry teams to provide for family ministries including seasonal events and a monthly parent’s night out program. As part of the leadership team you will be expected to offer input
to the visioning and goal setting of the congregation.
Other responsibilities include administrating the youth ministry; budgeting; creating communication materials, and engaging youth and families in the community. While some time in the office and staff meetings is expected, time out of the office in the
community doing ministry with youth and families is expected as well. A general church administrative assistant is available for support. A complete job description is available for interested candidates.

-Able to work Full-Time: 40 hours/week (nights and weekends at times with time off to compensate).
-Ability to manage time and set one’s own schedule well.
-Practice self-care to stay healthy spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
-Values consistent with Biblical United Methodist Theology

-Child care at a certified care center on site may be offered as additional compensation (ages 6 weeks- 6 years old).
