D.R.E.A.M - The heart of Oak Ridge Baptist Church (Oak Ridge, ORBC) is to use the vehicle of the church to make disciples of unreached people and to teach them applicable life principles of the Bible. Developing 10,000 disciples by Reaching the un-churched with the gospel, Engaging them in community, Activating them in ministry, and Mobilizing them to impact the world.

Oak Ridge Baptist Church is a growing and thriving congregation located on the Maryland peninsula in Salisbury. Led by the dynamic pastor Brian Moss, Oak Ridge is currently in an exciting season, marked by the recent renovation of their campus, the addition of a second worship venue,  and with many additional campuses on the horizon. ORBC has become well known in the community and beyond for being very strategic in their ability to reach families and individuals in the area and equipping them with a biblical understanding and worldview, as well as for being a place of relevant worship. Many of the strategies and programs employed by ORBC are a result of their relationship with and learning from Saddleback Church in California.

The Student Pastor at ORBC will give vision and strategic direction for the overall Student Ministry and provide hands-on directional leadership to the Student Ministry Volunteers. The Student Pastor is expected to think strategically about evangelistic growth of the Student Ministry as a whole, while continually developing adult leaders and equipping them to build successful relationships with students and their parents. This person should be able to walk the line between a strategic visionary and a relational builder. The Student Pastor will see the relationships built with parents and volunteers as important as relationships with the students.

They will above all, be a team player and team builder who focuses on the good of the entire organization, especially in family ministry, and can inspire others to work together to achieve excellence. They will also significantly contribute to a successful student ministry that seamlessly bridges students from the children's ministry into full integration in the adult ministry.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent ministry experience, that encompasses at least two years of biblical training. They will have a proven track record of working in a setting committed to reaching the un-churched with a high degree of innovation, recruitment, and retention of new members. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience working in a local church Student Ministry of 75 students or more, as well as the potential to thrive in a setting much larger than the current size of Oak Ridge. This individual must have as much of a heart for equipping Student Ministry volunteers as for the students in the ministry, and display a significant amount of growth potential, balanced in the areas of strategic and relational abilities. They will be able to cast vision and direction as well as lead the way as an organizer and a cultivator of relationships with volunteers, parents, and staff.
