We are looking for a proven leader to join our staff as the Associate Pastor of Local and Global Outreach. This role will include teaching, training, equipping, and modeling what it means to walk out our faith in culture.

We have a staff comprised of many different theological expressions within the evangelical community, but we are all committed to Biblical integrity and a lifestyle of serving others. We operate within a team ministry model and have a passion to see the community of faith reach outside its walls and partner with what God is doing in the world.



Crossroads Community Church is called to be a place of Refuge, for the purpose of Transformation and Partnership with God 



This position oversees the local and global outreach of Crossroads Community Church, which includes partnering with existing ministries, training and equipping a team of volunteers, and developing opportunities for the church body to make and impact for the Kingdom.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the partnership component of our vision statement by providing opportunities for the body of Christ to be actively involved in outreach.

  • Must have a proven ability to motivate, encourage and mentor volunteers.

  • Able to teach and preach the word during the weekend gatherings (approx.

    4-5 times per year).

  • Teach theology classes to emerging leaders in our Impact Ministry Training

    Center (classes are part of a certificate program through The Urban Ministry


  • Give oversight and support to our e-campus attendees.

  • Work in your area of gifting in a way that builds up the body of Christ, in

    cooperation with the vision and mission of Crossroads.


  • All pastoral staff shall be accountable to the lead pastor as the spiritual overseer of the church and the staff.

  • Must be a team player and work in cooperation with the pastoral team members and ministry leaders within the church.

  • Must understand the ethos of Crossroads as a Bible-centric evangelical church, which promotes full cooperation with the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in His cleansing, healing, empowering and sanctifying work in the life of believers.

  • Participate fully in staff meetings relating to your area of ministry and be responsible for communicating the direction and related needs for your areas of responsibility.

Personal Requirements

  • Seminary education or equivalent.

  • Minimum of five years vocational ministry experience.

  • Able to teach the word with integrity and Godly authority.

  • Able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.

  • Skilled in building collaborative relationships with other leaders.

  • Able to develop and sustain positive relationships with others.

  • Have a Christ like attitude that is accepting and inclusive of all of the diverse

    parts of the body of Christ, yet remain solid in an orthodox theological framework. We strive for Love and Truth together.

Spiritual Requirements
  • Committed to deepening his/her personal relationship with Jesus Christ and modeling this to others (1 Tim. 3:1-13).

  • Supportive of the Church’s mission and values, and understanding of our connectional relationship to the Evangelical Methodist Church.

  • Practice regular tithing to Crossroads Community Church.

  • Maturity in handling sensitive information in a Godly manner (not prone to

    gossip, granting charitable judgments, etc.).

  • An Evangelical Orthodox view of the primacy of Scripture and the

    appreciation of reason, experience, and tradition as the guide that determines the truth by which we live.
