Job Description:

Oak Hills Church (OHC) is a grace-based, non-denominational, multi-site church with five locations throughout San Antonio, one in Fredericksburg, TX and one international location in Natal, Brazil.  Each Campus celebrates a shared passion to reach their city and neighbors through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a commitment to grow believers in their Christian walk.  That passion is expressed in our vision and mission to be the Body of Christ to every neighborhood in our city and beyond.  We see this as a goal that is within reach because of the collaborative and team led nature of our Campuses.   For over 50 years we have lived out our commitment to serve both our local community and neighbors by equipping each person to belong to a loving community of believers, grow in their relationship with Christ, and serve others through their spiritual gifts and resources.  Today, over 10,000 people gather weekly in their homes, on their campuses and through online live-streaming opportunities to make that mission and vision active in their lives.

Since its beginning Oak Hills Church has been shepherded by Elder couples who come alongside Ministry Staff Teams to care for the Body of Christ at OHC and the people God has placed around us in our neighborhoods, workplace and schools.  Together they serve the city and world with the Gospel of grace and a focused ministry to adults, teenagers and children.

OHC seeks a Children’s Ministry Director to lead all ministries for children Birth – 5th Grade.  The Children’s Ministry Director is the lead implementer of the overall OHC Children’s Ministry Strategy and Children’s curriculum at their geographic location.  This includes resourcing and partnering with parents to be the primary disciplers of their children; recruiting, equipping and releasing a team of serving leaders; creating exciting and age appropriate environments for children to learn and grow; overseeing and ensuring the safety of the children and those serving; and organizing events and retreats.  A successful Children’s Minister must prioritize relationship with their team and congregation, demonstrate a passion for calling people to a mission, casting vision and equipping leaders to lead teams for unified and healthy ministry growth and progress.

Outer West /Alamo Ranch is the fastest growing area in San Antonio, TX and enjoys a wide variety of ethnic diversity and partnerships with Lackland Air Force Base and new corporate organizations moving in to expand business and life in San Antonio.  Located near Sea World, the Outer West Campus enjoys the rapid growth of that area and is expected to grow exponentially over the next several years.  For the last 3 years they have gathered as a Campus in the Courtyard Marriot –Sea World, but have recently broken ground on property where construction for a permanent building will soon begin.  Similar to the makeup of the geographic area, Outer West enjoys ethnic and social diversity while being grounded and centered in being the Body of Christ and reaching their neighborhoods and cities for Christ.
