In twelve short years, newhope church has gone from consisting of Pastor Benji, Amy Lynn, and their three children, to a movement that is sweeping across the Carolinas and beyond. Founded in 2002, newhope has seen progressive and continual growth. In merely thirteen years, the church has grown to be a community of faith well over 6,000 people who regularly attend one of five worship celebrations.


With local campuses in Durham, Garner, Sanford, Columbia, and North Raleigh, and an international campus in Kenya, newhope additionally maintains a thriving women's prison ministry and Sunday morning television ministry outreaches. Year after year, newhope church has been named, one of the fastest growing churches in America by Outreach Magazine. The church is well known for its relevant biblical teaching, upbeat contemporary worship, missional outreach, Life Group gatherings in homes, excellent children’s programs, and high impact student ministries.


To support their continued growth, newhope church is seeking a Teaching Pastor to serve on newhope's teaching team to serve at weekend services, midweek service programming, and occasionally at newhope's regional locations. This position serves on the teaching and content team and helps determine future message series for the church. This position will fully focus his or her skills and talent to help people grow deeper in their understanding of Scripture and providing the foundation for them to grow spiritually. The successful candidate must be an inspiring, biblical, and relational communicator. This person must have proven experience in teaching and communicating in large venues to sizeable crowds (500 to 5,000 people or more). The individual must demonstrate a high bandwidth of teaching formats, including both topical and exegetical styles. This person must be able to teach and connect across multiple generations.
