In twelve short years, newhope church has gone from consisting of Pastor Benji, Amy Lynn, and their three children, to a movement that is sweeping across the Carolinas and beyond. Founded in 2002, newhope has seen progressive and continual growth. In merely thirteen years, the church has grown to be a community of faith well over 6,000 people who regularly attend one of five worship celebrations.


With local campuses in Durham, Garner, Sanford, Columbia, and North Raleigh, and an international campus in Kenya, newhope additionally maintains a thriving women's prison ministry and Sunday morning television ministry outreaches. Year after year, newhope church has been named, one of the fastest growing churches in America by Outreach Magazine. The church is well known for its relevant biblical teaching, upbeat contemporary worship, missional outreach, Life Group gatherings in homes, excellent children’s programs, and high impact student ministries.


To support their continued growth, newhope church is seeking a Campus Pastor who will serve as the spiritual and directional point person for their Columbia campus. The Columbia Campus Pastor will execute the strategy, values, and vision of the executive Leadership of newhope church within the context of the local congregation. This role will act as the shepherd for the congregation and will oversee the physical and logistical aspects of the campus location. The pastor will ensure the vitality of the community and discipleship connections of the Columbia campus. 


The successful candidate for this position will have a proven track record of working in a setting committed to reaching the unreached, working within a community and promoting innovation through collaboration. They will show a high degree of effectiveness in leadership, communication, public speaking, and worship planning. Work in a multi-staff, multi-site setting is strongly preferred. In addition, the individual should show an ability to connect across all generations, ethnicities, and socio-economic lines. Although formal education is not a predetermining factor for the selection of a new Campus Pastor for the Columbia site, a bachelor's degree from an accredited university is strongly preferred for this position.
