Ministry Role: Creating and giving leadership to an expanding network of Community Groups.
a. Serve Lakeside as her primary leader in championing & strategizing our value of Community.
b. Leveraging Community Groups as a primary means of discipleship at Lakeside.
c. Influencing leaders and inspiring group participants to a deeper Connection to God and embracing their personal role as missionary.
d. Develop and manage metrics that indicate healthy & successful Community is occurring.
e. Connections - Oversee assimilation process for aiding new people into Community Groups
i. Develop system that is visible, accessible and efficient in forming new groups and or connecting to existing groups (currently GroupLink)
ii. Synergize data entry and reporting system with Administrative team. Assure tracking of connection process safeguards against people slipping through the proverbial cracks
2. Group Formation Strategy
a. Develop and maintain an effective strategy for group formation
i. GroupLink (Bi-Annual event in August & January is the current system.
ii. Oversee & Coordinate GroupLink with Campus Pastors at all campuses.
iii. Oversee Implementation of GroupLink Events in coordination with Campus Pastors
3. Leader Development, Recruitment, and Training
a. Oversee Shepherding System intended to equip, encourage, provide pastoral care and accountability to Community Group Leaders.
b. Discipleship oriented goals and strategy for group leaders to activate other participants.
c. Cast vision of Community as well as provide leaders with adequate training and equipping
d. Lead training of small group leaders, coaches, sheperds and GroupLink volunteers
e. Community Group Leaders equipped to reinforce Lakeside Values and accomplish CG Leader goals within group.
a. Determine and oversee the Elective classes offered at Lakeside
i. Select, outline and recommend semester series of basic elective classes and growth seminars. Examples: Financial Peace, Considering Adoption, Starting Point, Marriage & Parenting,
Sermon Series Bible Study.
b. Recruit appropriate “proven-faithful” teachers.
c. Oversee *ABF (Adult Bible Fellowship; *at LSP only)
d. Oversee Men’s & Women’s Ministry
5. General Responsibilities
a. Budget Management
b. Pastoral duties (Weddings, Funerals, Pastoral Care, etc.)
c. Team Meeting Participation, Program and Event Communication,
d. Example of Christ-like character and missional living
