Lead Pastor



Grace Community Church is located in California’s Central valley in the town of Sanger.

Our purpose at Grace Community Church is to bring people to Jesus, develop them to Christ like maturity, equip them for their ministry In the Church and in the world, in order to magnify God’s name.

It is our mission to do this through loving God, caring for each other and sharing with the world.




To be a proclaimer- able to prepare and deliver each sermon in a way that captures the attention of the congregation and speaks accurately from God’s word; to be the prayer and worship leader to all members of the congregation and local church community; to shepherd and lead the congregation as a man of God by preaching and teaching the Word of God through the Bible, whose character is above reproach and consistently demonstrates Christ daily through his life, the life of his family, with the congregation, and in the community.



?     Willingness to be Licensed or Ordained by the Mennonite Brethren Conference.

Ability to:

?     Exhibit the Godly character and qualities outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7

?     Communicate Church’s Mission and spiritually guide the church to the fulfillment of the Mission

?     Work well as a team member

?     Lead committees and small groups (organizing, delegating, communicating, etc)

?     Demonstrate strong interpersonal and relational skills and have a passion for pastoral care

?     Demonstrate effectiveness, inspiration, and the ability to equip people to disciple

?     Communicate effectively with members of the congregation, church staff, elders, and the Board of Deacons

?     Maintain confidentiality

?     Demonstrate basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office










?     Help plan worship in conjunction with other members of the staff

?     Lead and grow the congregation in prayer and discipleship

?     Officiate at special services, such as Weddings, Child Dedications, Baptisms, etc.,

?     Participate with new members classes and receptions, as well as other church events, including:

  • Ministries
  • Staff Retreat, Men’s Retreat, & Women’s Retreat
  • Outside speaking engagements as approved
  • Purposeful community events





?     Maintain a positive working relationship with the Board of Elders

  • Participating in monthly Board of Elders meetings

?     Motivate, encourage, mentor and assist the staff in personal, spiritual and professional development., mentoring those who have primary responsibility in the ministries of youth, pastoral care, and fellowship

?     Share and encourage preaching responsibilities with other Pastoral Team Members and guest speakers

?     Help in maintaining a vision for Grace Community Church

?     Lead the church into a strong and active culture of prayer

?     Support the ministries of the Mennonite Brethren Conference






?     Assist in the growth (serving, attending, giving, etc.) of new members into the life of the congregation

?     Encourage all organizations and ministries of the church to carry out their work with an emphasis on welcoming others to participate in the work of the Church.

?     Reach out to the unchurched, inactive members, and the people of our community.

?     Serve the broader church community as a resource and aid, as an extension of the mission of

the Church.
