Highlands Community Church (HCC) began as an outreach by fellow protestant churches to reach children whose parents were working at Boeing. Officially formed as a church in 1946, it has moved from a children’s program in a community center, to one of the largest multi-site churches in the Renton area.

Led by Senior Pastor Dr. Jim Amandus, the church has been purposeful in developing leadership, including those in vocational ministry. HCChas always had a relentless focus on seeing lives changed through the message and hope of Jesus Christ, and that vision continues today. The church is a thriving non-denominational, multi-generational, Bible-teaching church that is dedicated to bringing the hope and healing of the Gospel.

HCC seeks a Worship Pastor who will be an imperative addition to the Highlands Senior Leadership Team that provides overall church direction and coordination across campuses and ministries. This Senior role will create and articulate the vision for expressions of worship at Highlands in a way that supports the vision, mission, and values. They will offer leadership and oversight to all worship experiences, worship staff, production staff and worship volunteers at all Highland Community Church campuses. The successful candidate will be elder qualified, and have both a comprehensive understanding of how theology relates and integrates into the overall worship experience. This person will be able to work collaboratively with the Senior Pastor, Associate Worship Pastor/Directors, the Production and Technical teams, Media teams, Usher teams, and the worship volunteers to create a worship environment that will stimulate participation, growth, and connection among the congregation gathered.

Highlands Community Church has a high capacity team and driven staff, with a culture of excellence and personal development. The church seeks a self-motivated, proactive leader of leaders who is comfortable with a high level of involvement in a fast-paced environment. This individual will possess strong and clear vocal skills complemented with the capability of leading worship from a guitar. The successful candidate will have had at least five years of progressively responsible ministry and/or worship leadership experience in a large church.
