Job Description:

DIRECTOR OF WEB (Marketing & Services)


The Director of Web (Marketing & Services) will lead all facets of development and testing of web properties in a growing and fast-paced environment.  The Director will develop and drive strategy surrounding the marketing, creative design and structure of The Fellowship’s website properties and digital marketing-communication globally, to effectively meet business requirements and goals while managing a team of developers and vendors, and providing hands-on development and project management.


Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:


  • Developing Digital Marketing Strategies to increase reach, engagement, acquisition, cultivation and conversion of prospects into donors. Direct strategy for content marketing, design, usability, e-commerce, process, governance and service standards. Collaborate with Director of Interactive Fundraising to inform of paid advertising/fundraising. Develop and manage affiliate sales relationship(s) with Amazon and any other key retailers. Collaborate with VP of Marketing and Communications and Director of Interactive Fundraising on business development with strategic content and network partners.


  • Direct Redesign and Continued Relevance of Corporate Websites & Digital Marketing, including ifcj.org, country/regional sites, microsites, blogs, social media profile assets, email templates and display ads. Direct/manage staff and vendors to keep projects on time and on budget.


  • Lead and Manage Web Team: Manage internal staff and vendors, recommending long-term structure and staffing needs. Lead training of staff on content marketing, SEO, video, earned media and web analytics best practices and industry trends. Ensure that project scope, priorities, objectives, and personal development align with organizational goals.  


  • Collaborate with Key Interdepartmental Stakeholders in Education, Outreach, Development/Fundraising, Content/Editorial and Social Media, with the goal of providing industry leading expertise and world-class client service.


The ideal candidate will possess:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.  Master’s preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of successful professional web experience including site design/ branding, site development, and site management experience operating in a consultative or direct management role.  Successful experience managing a direct response, fundraising, or highly transactional web site preferred.

  • Demonstrated success with development and implementation of digital marketing strategies.

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory and project management experience in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong analytical skills, especially those related to achieving potential donor, donor, and mission-driven organizational goals through digital marketing.  Experience with Google Analytics preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices (web, marketing, non-profit).

  • Functional/ working knowledge of web-technology and web content management systems (Convio CMS preferred).

  • Functional/ working knowledge of HTML and CSS.  Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to assess broad scope business needs and outline technical design initiatives that will meet these needs.  Ability to define scope of multiple simultaneous projects, assign and prioritize projects and project tasks, with exceptional follow-up and proven achievement of deliverables in a timely manner.

  • Ability to effectively partner with cross-functional groups and vendors to create an exceptional web experience.

  • Passion for Israel and the mission of The Fellowship along with strong understanding of the Evangelical community highly desired.

  • Excellent analytical and strategic-thinking skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
