Video Producer


Purpose Statement: 

This Full Time (40-50+ hours) position is responsible to minister to the body of Calvary Chapel Melbourne and other audiences through electronic media including video/television, radio, and web based media to advance the church’s vision at Calvary Chapel Melbourne and all video campuses.



This position requires producing short-form video and broadcast program material that fits the mission of the ministry. Regular tasks include meeting with ministry leaders, developing concepts, writing copy, working with production support, directing field shoots, conducting interviews, and editing/post production as needed.


Skills and Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Video Production or 3 years minimum equivalent on the job experience
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and Avid is preferred.
  • Proficient on MAC and PC
  • Know all facets of production including creative process, scriptwriting, producing, shooting, audio, graphics, and editing
  • Knowledgeable in moving graphics software and techniques, and stays current with design trends
  • Work with producers, videographers, editors, lighting directors, craft services, talent and crew
  • Serve as Video Director for live services as needed
  • Research production and equipment needs; develop scope and budget projections
  • Maintain mastering, duplication, and archiving of a finished project
  • Maintain records on all projects
  • Resume and Portfolio required

  • Maintain a flexible spirit in order to change task quickly at the director’s discretion
  • Good interpersonal skills for relating effectively with staff members, leadership, volunteers, and outside vendors
  • Great communication skills – verbal and written
  • Able to work creatively with limited resources
  • Able to commit to the core values and belief of Calvary Chapel Melbourne and adhere to those values in the assigned projects
