Webmaster/Developer  Part-Time

  1. Degree or equivalent experience in the field of digital media/web communications and current work history
  2. Working knowledge of web design, basic graphic design theory, including artistic eye for: spacing, proportion and balance, grouping, contrast and color as well as discerning eye-pleasing and attention-grabbing flow of text, pictures, video placement, etc.
  3. HTML and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) experience a plus
  4. Working knowledge of respective Adobe applications such as Adobe Muse, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, WordPress and Square Space
  5. Working knowledge of both current and on-going advancements in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) tools and strategies
  6. Excellent writing and editorial skills; excellent command of the English language skills relative to editing, proof-reading, grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc.
  7. Above average computer and web operations troubleshooting ability for determining causes of web platform and system operating errors, and resolving the causes
  8. Working knowledge and experience in either creating responsive graphics or managing created responsive graphics to ensure that all website pages and images layout work effectively and efficiently on multiple devices such as PCs, mobile phones and tablets
  9. Able to provide access to current portfolio of websites developed and/or maintained



  1. Responsible for developing and managing all content on the CCLB website (micro-sites excluded) with emphasis on ensuring all information throughout the site is current and accurate
  2. In charge of publishing new content, maintaining continuity of themes, and maintaining an attractive, thematic, consistent design layout
  3. In charge of maintaining a user-friendly method of navigation, based upon research and feedback from church staff, church members and first time visitors
  4. Responsible for technical and creative strategies that will help continually increase our online presence to potential viewers in the local area, the U.S., and internationally
  5. Responsible for search engine analytics and reporting
  6. Responsible for maintaining high search engine visibility and optimization
  7. Assists as needed with consultation and/or content or function development with ministry micro-sites
  8. Responsible for ongoing systems evaluations, identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the standards and goals of system performance
  9. WordPress training for church staff and ministry team leaders

10. Mobile app initial setup, launch and maintenance with The Church App

11. Familiarity with email campaigning through services such as Constant Contact

  3. Hours: Part-time; approximately 20 hours per week
