Job Description:
JOB PURPOSE
To serve the church by developing, coordinating and administering an effective ministry to meet the spiritual needs of the Hispanic men and women of the church.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Some of the primary duties include:
1. This position has overall responsibility for developing, maintaining and updating (if necessary), the following programs:
A. WEDNESDAY EVENINGS & SMALL GROUPS:
a. Identify, develop and train a ‘Facilitator’ to assist with this program.
b. Items of responsibility to oversee include the following:
c. Worship; class curriculum; identifying, developing, and training volunteers to teach, providing support (reserving rooms, coordinating refreshments, arranging or assigning transportation if needed); keeping attendance and records, leader’s follow-up and Bible study attendees including students, and providing any other support as required
.
B. SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE:
a. Identify, develop and train a ‘Facilitator’ to assist with this program.
b. Provide volunteers with any administrative or logistic help in order to accomplish our goals for Sunday morning.
c. Develop and maintain an organizational chart for all volunteers for Sunday morning, and develop schedules.
d. Coordinate with all Leaders, volunteers and lay personnel to make sure all materials and information are ready for Sunday morning.
e. Work with the Leaders to establish a follow-up system to create continuity each week.

C. YOUTH MINISTRY
a. Identify, develop and train a ‘Facilitator’ to assist with this program.

D. OUTREACH AND EVANGELISM
a. Includes events such as Christmas Concert and organizing volunteers for community support events

E. VISITATION MINISTRY
a. New Believers or New Visitors
b. Hospital visitations
c. Any other visitations that might be needed


F. VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
a. Recruiting, developing, and motivating our group of volunteers.
b. Identify, develop and train a ‘Facilitator’ to assist with this program.

2. The Director has overall responsibility for the development, implementation and follow-up for various programs for Christian Education and Leadership Development, such as seminars, special training, classes, etc., offered at our Church.
This includes, but is not limited to:
a. Leadership training for teachers, leaders, volunteers.
b. Wednesday Evening classes.
c. Child Dedication classes.
d. Church Foundational Beliefs classes (Communion, Baptism, etc.).
e. New Believers Courses.
f. Midweek studies (church and home studies)

3. The Director will assist the Pastor as required in counseling and other pastoral duties needed by members of our congregation.

4. Maintain daily communication with the Pastor of Amigos de Cristo to keep him informed of day-to day activities and relevant information.

5. Attend various meetings, including but not limited to, Amigos de Cristo staff meetings, all church Staff meetings, leadership meetings, planning sessions, and any outside Church or Denominational commitments.

6. The Director will be responsible for all finance matters for the Amigos de Cristo ministry. This includes P&L’s, development and oversight of ministry Budgets and oversight of special event budgets.

7. Maintain a program for professional, personal and spiritual development.


QUALIFICATIONS
SPIRITUAL: Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and must have a heart for ministry. Must hold to the Statement of Faith, Position Statements, Mission Statement, and Core Values and Ministry Values of Yorba Linda Friends Church. Those that serve God on the staff at Yorba Linda Friends Church are expected to set a high standard of personal conduct and lifestyle. It is required that all staff members are members of Yorba Linda Friends Church. The Associate Pastor is expected to put in some volunteer hours as part of his personal ministry.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSURE: A bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum five (5) years experience in ministry; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must become commissioned through SWYM.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
SKILLS: Must be bilingual and bicultural. Must speak and write both English and Spanish fluently. Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication skills and mathematical skills. Must be proficient in the Microsoft Suite of products. Must be a self-starter. Must be confidential, flexible, accurate and have good follow-up skills. Must be well organized and have strong management skills. Must have skills and passion for teaching, training, equipping, and discipling others.
ABILITY: Ability to understand, teach and live out Biblical truths. Ability to comprehend written and oral information and to express written and oral information with clarity (in both English and Spanish). Ability to identify problems, and exhibit both inductive and mathematical reasoning. Ability to travel. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and flexible hours and duties, as requested.
