Pastor of High School Ministries
The Leadership Calling
The new Pastor of High School Ministries will have the opportunity to shape, guide and determine the next chapter of ministry at Constance Free Church. The High School Ministry is strong, yet a new leader will be expected to bring fresh vision. This position
comes with a “seat at the table” in leadership influence and will be given the opportunity to both grow and contribute in a team environment.
The ideal leader will be strong in building teams and fostering relationships among other departments, but most importantly in leadership development with the incredible students and volunteers that make up this ministry. Constance is a staff-led church
where leaders are expected to implement vision.
The Pastor of High School Ministries will need to be collaborative and work well in a setting that embraces systems and strategic thinking to propel the vision of Constance. This is a strength of our church—strategic thinking that enables ministries to thrive.
Our Current Reality
Constance Free Church, in Andover, Minnesota, is a multi-generational congregation that attracts people of all ages, from young families to empty nesters. While we have adopted a two-style worship service format (“Traditions” and “The Current”), the majority
of our 1,300 adults attend The Current, a contemporary/modern worship experience held in our auditorium.
During these services, the Student Ministries (Middle & High School) host services designed for their specific age groups upstairs. In addition to this weekly service, the High School ministry has a strong house group model in place. This has been a strength
in the past that connects over 200 high school students weekly. The house groups model has been successful under previous leaders, but is not a fixed method that has to remain.
The current season of our High School Ministry is one of transition and change, and will require a highly collaborative and visionary leader to guide them as they move forward. There is a desire to embrace the thought process of
Sticky Faith in order to incorporate a more family-based model in the ministry. This is not to be prescriptive to the ministry in regards to curriculum, but rather a posture of heart and direction for ministry that is focused on the student and their
