The church was founded by Pastor Paul Barnes and began serving the community in 1979. They fulfill their mission through four Missional Expressions: Community, Training, Prayer & Worship, and Compassion & Justice. Senior Pastor Josh Weidmann provides leadership
to each ministry of the church, and ensures the effective execution of contemporary worship experiences, far-reaching ministries, impactful small groups, and caring community outreach efforts. Grace Chapel is committed to spiritual transformation through discipleship,
coaching, and mentoring.
Grace Chapel seeks a Youth Pastor who will participate in God's great mission by partnering with parents in developing a High School Ministry that will make disciples of high school students. This person will be expected to develop the growth of students
in both numbers and in depth, in a way that reflects the overall vision of Grace Chapel. The successful candidate will shepherd and teach high school students while providing resources to grow in their relationship with God and others. In addition, he will
champion student ministry, both inside and beyond the walls of Grace Chapel. He will oversee the Junior High ministry as well, developing a team of leaders to conduct a Christ-centered, vibrant Junior High ministry. The successful candidate will demonstrate
an ability to love and relate to a wide diversity of students.
To fulfill the responsibilities of this full-time role, the successful candidate will likely possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Bible, theology, or Christian leadership. A seminary degree would be valued but is not required. They will have five years
of student ministry experience within a growing ministry context. There will be a proven track record of effectively managing students, both strategically and relationally. Proven experiences in communication and leadership skills are imperative. The ideal
candidate will also possess follow-through and organizational aptitude. They will additionally bear the following characteristics:
