Job Description:

Springfield Community Profile

Springfield, Oregon is a community that has one foot in two worlds.  It is part of the Eugene-Springfield community that straddles the I-5 corridor, but is its own community.  It is blue collar and white collar.  It is agriculture and forestry and technology.  It proudly hosts a Cabela's and the McKenzie River drift boat, and is business friendly.  It used to be considered the poor relation of Eugene, but no more.  It has a feeling of being unpretentious and genuine, and the people are the same.

Springfield Faith Center is much like the community.  We are looking for a leader who is unpretentious and genuine.  Someone who values revelation from God and who values people.  Someone who is active, hard-working and fun, and at the same time, willing to learn and innovate.  The church is large enough that the leader will need to inspire, delegate and supervise other staff and volunteers, but small enough that they will have lots of hands-on interaction with youth and their families.  The bottom line is that we need a leader who will move the ministry forward, but work to leave behind a trail of people who live a genuine 24/7 conversation with their God—other staff, kids, families and volunteers.  We're in it with you.
