History / Current Status
Potential Church is an incredibly diverse, multi-ethnic, and multi-generational church that has a rich history of ministry in South Florida. Formerly known as Flamingo Road Baptist Church, Senior Pastor Troy Gramling recast the Church’s vision in 2008, and
changed their name to Potential Church. The new name better represented their multiple locations (7) as well as the Church’s new vision to see 50 campuses world wide. With a weekly attendance of 12,000 attendees, Potential Church has already begun realizing
their vision through their international campuses in Lima, Peru and the Bahamas. The ministry of Pastor Troy and Potential Church also extend through their broadcast partnerships with NBC, Fox, TBN, and the American Forces Network.
One of Potential Church’s values is in “Creating environments to move people toward their God Potential”. This can be experienced from the parking lot team, the lobby hosts, to the announcements on stage. Their goal of seeing both the church and unchurched
feel equally welcomed and at home is clearly evident. This culture also extends beyond their church building, and can be see through their extensive outreach efforts in nearby communities and overseas missions.
Potential Church is seeking a Technical Director who is a strong organizational leader and an accomplished engineer who has experience with video delivery in a multisite paradigm. This position will oversee a team comprised of staff, part-time contractors,
and volunteers hungry for leadership, feedback, and vision.
Potential Church is looking for a leader to guide key improvements in updating their systems and bringing consistency across campuses with production infrastructure, best practices, and sustainable growth of volunteer development.
The opportunity to shape Potential’s future production and broadcast landscape, work with an energetic team, and dream big with like minded ministry innovators presents an incredible opportunity for the right candidate.
Worship & Ministry
Potential Church’s dynamic worship experience can be attributed to the way their church invest in future leaders. Roberta Burke leads a talented team that delivers an authentic and powerful worship experience in a similar style as Hillsong United, Bethel,
and Jesus Culture.
There is well known story that when Pastor Troy first began his ministry at Flamingo Road with the parking ministry, leadership was completely taken aback by his energy and enthusiasm to build teams. But it’s this spirit of jumping in where the need is most
present up their parking that continues to be a value and defining character for Potential Church. It’s not uncommon to see vocalists serve in their hospitality teams one week as then leading the congregation in song the following weekend with the same passion

Leadership & Ministry Culture
Potential Church’s Leadership has identified 7 skills that define their leadership ethos.
1. Leadership Simulator: The ability to see and learn leadership anytime, anywhere.
2. Truth Telling: The ability to be honest about what you have already decided.
3. 20/20 Vision: The ability to leverage vision to take you where you’ve never been.
4. Execution: The ability to consistently perform ministry in the top 20%.
5. Energy Leveraging: The ability to use pre-existing energy to produce pre-determined outcomes.
6. Innovation: The ability to create tools needed to accomplish the vision.
7. Catch and Release: The ability to catch big leaders with the vision and release them to accomplish it.
While these leadership skills reveal a fast paced team working towards a big vision, what’s not seen is the intentionality in Pastor Troy’s leadership to celebrate and foster staff health throughout the year. Potential Church spends time every year investing
in their staff across all campuses, regularly gathering to recharge and recast Potential’s Vision through retreats and staff competition. As a result of Pastor Troy’s commitment to his church’s health, Potential Church’s staff has adopted the same focus
on caring for their volunteer teams as family. Potential Church has become a church that values teamwork and community just as much as it values innovation and growth.
