Daystar Family Church, founded in 1988 by Drs. Patrick and Deborah Schatzline, is located in Northport, Alabama. We are nestled in the beautiful city of Tuscaloosa, home to the Alabama Crimson Tide. In 2004, Dr. Scott and Kristi Schatzline heard the Macedonia
call to return home to Daystar and build upon the foundation laid by his father and mother. God has done a unique thing concerning the demographics of our church. We have always welcomed every walk of life, every race, all ages and backgrounds. When you
walk in the door you will see a church that looks like heaven. The greatest compliment we receive is for visitors to tell us they felt so much love when they came to church. The heartbeat of Daystar is to Experience Gods Love, Share Gods Love.
Daystar is a non-denominational, thriving, growing, multi-cultural, multi-generational church with praise and worship that’s energetic, passionate, Jesus focused with an atmosphere that is presence driven. We believe in the transformative power of God through
His Word being taught and declared powerfully each week. We believe to see our young people walk in the fullness of God’s power, His word and the Holy Spirit by teaching them in the areas of salvation, faith, healing, and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
We want to raise up a generation of champions that are unashamed of the Gospel especially in the time that we live.
In 2014 we launched 3 additional campuses; one in Tuscaloosa, one in Pickens County (AL) and one in Columbus, Mississippi. With a total of 4 campuses, 1600 members, and 300 children across all campuses, we must expand our staff and hire a dynamic, well
experienced Children’s Pastor that is a visionary leader. We are looking for someone that is a great team builder and leader of leaders, one that can manage and prepare for growth for ages Birth to 5th grade and over 150 volunteers. It would be
ideal to have experience in a large church ministry. The overall goal will be to create a Christ-centered, fun environment in an already structured atmosphere. We desire our children’s ministry to be a place where kids will love to come each Sunday and will
be excited to learn, worship and be discipled. In order to accomplish this, we are looking for someone with a high degree of innovation, proven experience in leadership, strategic and creative thinking, problem solving and lots of love. Formal education
is not a predetermining factor. References are requested.
