Reports to: Senior Associate Pastor

Title: Come and See Director 


JOB PURPOSE (The Setting)


Our goal is to create and execute powerfully engaging, Christ centered, scripture rich, culturally relevant and highly experiential environments that meet both cynics and believers in Northwest Washington. We believe that as people enter the doors of Cornwall, they discover the life-changing message of Christ through their weekend experience.  With that, this person will be an integral part in overseeing the overall weekend experience, which internally, we call "Come and See".


The Come and See Director’s role is to oversee and manage our creative arts staff in order to create a dynamic user experience during our weekend worship services and other large group gatherings.





  • Staff Management: oversight of Creative Arts Staff (Music Director, Arts Director, Technical Director, Creative Arts Assistant, and Guest Services Director)
  • Organization: ability to prioritize upcoming services, series and events, making ideas go from concepts to reality
  • Creative Planning: organize Creative Planning Team with foresight to upcoming series and events
  • Communication: able to keep Creative Arts Staff and Cornwall Staff on the same page, providing clear expectations and spiritual encouragement
  • - Cultural Awareness and Creativity: staying up on current trends in both sacred and secular arenas
  • - Volunteer Relations: consistently work with volunteers to accomplish tasks


REQUIREMENTS (What we’re looking for)

  • Understanding of church operations
  • Knowledgeable overview of service flow
  • Understanding of team building
  • A cultural knowledge of Whatcom County
  • Leadership and initiative




  • Weekly leadership of creative arts staff meetings
  • Weekly leadership of service planning meetings
  • Leadership of Creative meetings as needed
  • Bi-Weekly meetings with Music Director, Arts Director, Tech Director, Creative Arts Assistant and Guest Services Director
  • Frequent meetings with Senior Pastor
  • Personal research of current culture in music and media
  • Budget oversight to the entire Creative Arts Department
  • Maintaining connections with creative staff and volunteers
  • Designing creative, creative meetings
  • Schedule and direct meetings
  • Creating plans to take ideas to fruition for Music Director and Arts Director
  • Oversee “Family Moment” Scripts, prioritization and scheduling
  • Oversight of service flow to ensure elements “fit”
  • Work with Video Venue staff to develop transferable elements
  • Periodic meetings with Pastoral Leadership Team
