Fremont Presbyterian Church (FPC) was established in 1882, and for over a century, this church has served the Sacramento community with truth and grace for the sake of Jesus Christ. The church has a deep heart for reaching people in Sacramento and beyond who have not yet experienced the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ. In 2012 Fremont Presbyterian Church chose to affiliate with the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) in order to remain faithful to its commitment to its reformed theological heritage, to the authority of the Bible, and to the centrality of Jesus Christ in its life and ministry.

The ideal candidate for the position of Minister to Children & Families at FPC will be an energetic individual who has a mature faith in Jesus Christ, a passion for ministering to children, and possess a Christ-centered vision for both children and their families at FPC. This person will be a strategic thinker who contributes vision and creativity to the Children's Ministry. They will be a passionate and self-motivated leader, and excel in equipping people in the church to serve in the Children’s Ministry.

The prospect will preferably have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g. Theology, Christian Education, Child Development, Education, etc.). A vital and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, with a life that is marked by integrity and high moral character is imperative for this position. They will be personable, with the emotional intelligence necessary to relate to people on all levels—from children to parents, colleagues, church members, and people of the community. Additionally, they will possess a shepherd’s heart for all people, with a whole-hearted commitment to the vision, mission, and core beliefs of Fremont Presbyterian Church.

Identified with trend, and class, Sacramento is the star on the map of California. It is where one will find attractions that inspire, cutting-edge cuisine that impresses, history that enriches, and cultural attributes that simply makes the city strikingly appealing. It is a growing metropolitan region with the seventh largest economy in the nation, and the largest city in a six county region with 478 cities across the counties. Sacramento is a large city with a small city feel. The city serves close to 500,000 diverse people and nearly 2.5 million in the region.

The entire city occupies 98-square miles of land, where the weather is influenced by a coastal climate that offers perfect levels of humidity and sun, particularly in spring and fall seasons. Sacramento is widely regarded as the center of decision-making due to the Capitol, and the many agencies that reside downtown. In addition to 64 elementary schools and 22 middle/high schools, regional higher education institutions such as California State University-Sacramento and the world-renown University of California-Davis (popularly known as UC Davis) offer opportunities for internships, technology transfer, and contribute substantially to the quality of the region’s labor pool, where 35,000 large and small companies call it home.

Its geography, qualified workforce, lower cost of living, access to government and education, quality of life, amenities, and culture are all key ingredients that make Sacramento the place to be.  If you desire a real, authentic Californian experience, begin here.
