Provides spiritual direction, leadership, training, and oversight for all areas of youth ministry. Plans and directs all youth services and oversees all areas of youth follow-up and assimilation.

The youth pastor of King’s River is expected to oversee the spiritual growth and care of youth ranging from the start of the 6th grade school year to high school graduation.
Connect and build relationships with students connected to King’s River by all means possible. This can include: individual conversations, home visits, campus visits, attending school events, social networking, phone calls, text messages, etc.
Major Areas of Responsibilities include:
YOUTH SERVICE: Conduct/lead a weekly youth services. Components that should be included, however, not expected every week, range from worship,
preaching, teaching, altar calls, drama/human video, media, giving, etc.
DISCIPLESHIP: Create and maintain a discipleship program for youth. This program should be designed to ground students in the Word,
address practical life issues, and spur students to grow spiritually.
LEADERSHIP: Recruit and train a leadership team capable of loving and caring for youth. Leadership should include adults and young adults that
have been approved by the pastoral staff team, trained, and have completed Reducing the Risk.
ACTIVITIES: Plan and lead youth activities with the intention of socialization, fun, spiritual growth, etc. All events should be approved by the pastoral staff team before publicized to students, parents, or leadership.
