We are seeking an experienced network administrator/database professional to oversee the administration of the campus-wide computing and network environment (researching, planning, and implementing of new software and services) and evaluate the use of technology across the staff.  The right candidate will work with the technology team to improve the efficiency of software and hardware throughout Cherry Hills Community Church and Cherry Hills Christian School.





Manage Databases and Supporting Products

  • Facilitate and fulfill use of CHCC’s membership and donations database (Fellowship One – SaaS model)
    • Establish training and support resources for administrative staff and volunteers
    • Create and link online registration through Fellowship One for event promotion
    • Ensure that event managers have access to incoming registration data
    • Provide weekly and other periodic reporting and analytical analysis of data as requested
    • Facilitate maintenance on address records
  • Install other database software, new releases and upgrades, and supporting products
  • Manage, and potentially create, multiple databases, table-spaces, and indexes
  • Monitor, diagnose and resolve problems with databases, including SaaS products, SSO instances and church/school ADFS integrations
  • Develop information and data requirements and translate them into systems designs

Provide Infrastructure Support and Administration

  • Act as the front-line support for technology infrastructure concerns
  • Execute regular, daily maintenance of campus infrastructure support systems(Servers, hardware, operating systems, security and data protection, anti-virus, backup, web and spam filters, collaboration environment, etc.)
  • Execute backup and recovery, with recovery testing of key systems
  • Participate in strategic planning efforts, capacity planning, functional and technical design of enterprise systems, and resolution of complex problems
  • Monitor, tune, diagnose and resolve intermediate operating system problems:
    • Active Directory; anti-virus; backup; web and spam filtering; file-sharing and collaboration; exchange
    • Network and data-rooms power and cooling systems
    • VOIP/PBX phone system and voice mail
    • Wired and wireless networks
    • Database
    • Point of sale systems; SSO systems; student learning and management systems; mobile device management systems; and software distribution systems

 Analyze Business Processes

  • Work with internal customers to understand, recommend, implement, and support business requirements
  • Test and analyze business operations/applications that use client/server databases

  • 3 to 5 years of system administration/network administration
  • Degree in computer science or related field desired
  • Demonstrable proficiency in Windows Server 2K8, 2K8 R2, Exchange 2013, Office 365, Macintosh Server OSX
  • Ability to program in an administrative scripting language
