Ministry Staff Position – Resurrection Church
CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES COORDINATOR, POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Children’s Ministries Coordinator (hereafter CMC) is responsible for advancing the mission and ministry of Resurrection Church by assisting the Senior Pastor in his charge to care for the flock and equip the saints by developing, managing, and overseeing
all aspects of the children’s ministries of Resurrection Church, including but not limited to nursery, weekly children’s church, and annual Vacation Bible School. Because this position necessarily involves communicating the core messages and beliefs of the
church, it is considered part of the church’s ministry staff. The CMC will be an active member of Resurrection Church and will sign and seek at all times to uphold (with the help of God) the church’s Statement of Faith and its Code of Christian Conduct.
It is understood that all ministry staff positions at Resurrection Church are to be filled exclusively by born-again followers of Jesus Christ who manifest a deep love for God, His Word, and His people, and who manifest a living, growing, biblical faith in
line with the philosophy, teachings, values, and mission of Resurrection Church. It is further understood that any person desiring to serve on the ministry staff of Resurrection Church will attest to a sense of calling to and will manifest an authentic gifting
for the position in question.
The CMC position reports directly to the Senior Pastor or his designee.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
A. Develop, update, and provide such manuals, documents, and other materials as may be necessary for the effective administration and oversight of church ministries to children, to include administrative structures, policies, procedures, and guidelines for
recruiting, background checking, training, overseeing, and managing all necessary children’s ministry personnel, whether volunteers or employees;
B. Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate children’s ministry workers and volunteers, including teaching teams for the church’s weekly Children’s Church program;
C. Review, select, purchase, write, and evaluate curriculum, materials, and other tools for the children’s ministry programs;
D. Provide basic pastoral care for the children in the church, including the establishment and maintenance of a regular contact and/or visitation schedule;
E. Ensure appropriate integration of the children’s ministry into the overall ministry of the church;
F. Work with the church’s various Neighborhood Outreach Ministries to welcome and integrate children from the community into the church’s children’s ministry programs;
G. Develop and coordinate initiatives and programs to strengthen and grow the church’s ministry to children;
H. Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment, supplies, curriculum, etc…, purchasing new or additional items as needed;
I. Establish departmental goals and objectives, prioritize programs and events, manage the use of facilities, propose an annual departmental budget, delegate tasks where appropriate, develop and track appropriate departmental metrics, and evaluate progress
J. Develop and coordinate short-term classes and provide training resources for parents;
K. Work cooperatively with other church staff, committees, and volunteers;
L. Attend regular staff meetings and retreats;
M. Represent the church in the larger community;
N. Perform such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Senior Pastor
This position is part time with a starting salary of $10,000.00 per year.
This position will initially be filled for one year from its indicated start date, provided, however, that it may be renewed, extended, or amended and renewed or extended indefinitely beyond that date with the consent of the church and the employee. A six-month
review will be conducted roughly six months from the start date of this Agreement.
Additionally, the church reserves the right to terminate employment at any time without cause or explanation. The employee also may terminate employment without cause or explanation; provided, however, that the employee agrees to serve a minimum two-week notice
before leaving the position in question.

of Resurrection Church agree to settle any and all employment-related disputes by biblically-based mediation and, if necessary, legally binding arbitration in accordance with the RULES OF PROCEDURE FOR CHRISTIAN CONCILIATION OF THE INSTITUTE FOR CHRISTIAN
