Job Type: Part-Time

Job Description:

Capital City Fellowship is a new church plant in the Washington DC area (Lorton, VA) that is two and a half years old. We have a strong core of 65 people who love Jesus and our community. We are connected to a larger church planting network in the area from which we receive strong support.

Worship at Capital City Fellowship is God-centered and draws from a rich selection of songs, hymns and spiritual songs. Upbeat music celebrates the greatness of God and lifts our hearts toward heaven. When we gather for weekly worship, we assume the Father is seeking people who will worship Him in spirit and truth. We desire to be such people and for someone to lead us to that end.

We are seeking an experienced, Christ-centered, biblically-grounded, and relational Worship Pastor (part-time, approximately 20 hours per week) with a church planter’s heart and proven entrepreneurial skills. This person will oversee and add leadership to all aspects of worship and production. Because this is only a part-time position, our preference is to find someone who is already local to the NOVA area.

Qualified applicants should be able to lead while playing a keyboard (preferred) or a guitar. This person must be able to connect with local artists to grow the worship band. Additionally, applicants must understand the dynamics of pastoral leadership and have the ability to lead a diverse group of people in engaging worship within a portable environment. They must also possess the skills to provide creative and administrative oversight to all portable logistics, media and sound tech aspects of the weekly worship service.
