Communications Manager
Grace Community Church of Boca Raton


Status:  Full-time position with benefits



  • Office administration skills including competence in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign); ACS Technologies experience a plus
  • Ability to communicate big picture and individual ministry details consistently and creatively
  • Friendly, approachable personality with ability to handle confidential and delicate situations
  • Professing Christian with consistent devotional life
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Proven abilities in managing and assuring proper maintenance of office equipment


Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce weekly bulletin and e-newsletter, weekly announcement slides, bi-monthly printed newsletter
  • Maintain and update website, including work with design, photos, video and audio files
  • Manage social media and external communications
  • Coordinate the church calendar and support communications and marketing of events
  • Explore additional opportunities and strategies to facilitate church growth and communication efficiencies
  • Manage the membership database  (ACS Technologies)
  • Generate necessary mailing lists/labels for first-class and bulk mail, as needed
  • Create and prepare certificates for baptisms, weddings, membership, and officers; banners, flyers and other printed materials
  • Assist Senior Pastor in preparation for all staff, ministry and study meetings; special projects as needed


Secondary Job Responsibilities:

  • Active participant and contributor  in weekly staff meetings
  • Assist the Program Staff and lay ministry with communication needs and consistency
  • Greet visitors and members and answer phones as needed
  • Constantly evaluate office processes and procedures and recommend changes/revisions which could improve overall effectiveness and efficiency
