Covenant Church is a five-year old church plant located in Grove City, OH. Grove City is the fastest growing suburb of Columbus, which is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. Centrally located in Ohio, this diverse city is home to The
Ohio State University, a thriving art and music scene and plenty of events and activities for the entire family. However, the spiritual climate is difficult. Despite being the 15th largest city in the country, only 12% of the population is affiliated
in any way with an evangelical church.
Covenant Church has a simple vision to seek and save the lost in Columbus. As a portable church we gather twice each Sunday at 9:30 & 11am at AMC theatre in Grove City to help fulfill that purpose. Everything we do keeps reaching a lost generation in mind.
Cutting edge worship, and dynamic Biblical communication goes hand in hand with an emphasis on small group community and spiritual leadership development. As a church we are passionate about bringing up disciples and leaders to fulfill the vision to reach
Columbus for Christ. A vibrant Children’s Ministry is an essential part of ensuring that this church will be partnering with Jesus to seek and save the lost long after the current leadership has passed.
We are looking to hire a part time Children’s Pastor/Director to facilitate our current ministry and expand upon the existing vision for the Covenant Kids ministry. We are results oriented and provide flexibility for those who are getting things done, encouraging
regular and scheduled time off for family. This position has potential to be a full-time salaried position in the future.
Covenant Kids Ministry
Covenant Kids ministry has been built and led by a team of volunteers from the very beginning. There are currently around 75 kids on a weekly basis that are a part of the ministry and nearly 100 volunteers who make it happen on a monthly basis. The success
of this ministry rises and falls with our volunteer army. The Covenant Kid’s Pastor/Director will be recruiting, leading, developing and casting vision for our volunteer staff.
The person who will be successful in this position will have had previous experience in a modern kid’s ministry and a gift for building teams to do the work of the ministry. They will need to have clear vision for what a great kid’s ministry can be, as well
as an ability to overcome portable church obstacles and think creatively along the way. Being a confident and gifted communicator who can relate a preferred future and mobilize people to accomplish the vision is a must for this position. Although typical abilities
such as strong organization skills, creative ability, and teaching skills will be necessary- we are looking for a person who knows their strengths and weaknesses and is gifted in building volunteer teams to supplement them. We value very highly the ability
to replace yourself and make things better by incorporating good ideas- no matter where they originate.
