New Hope Community Church, located in Hermiston, Oregon, is looking to fill our Pastor of Student Ministries position. Our youth pastor of 9 years is moving on to pursue a call to worship ministry. New Hope started out as a 'turnaround' ministry in the fall
of 1990. Since then, under the leadership of Pastor Dave Andrus, we have seen God do some amazing things. We are now a church family with a Sunday morning attendance of approximately 800. Salary for this position is 40 to 55k depending on experience and qualifications.

Youth Pastor Position Description
Summary Statement: This position seeks to fulfill the purpose and vision statement of New Hope Church. "We exist to know God and glorify Him by making disciples of Jesus Christ.” We seek to develop disciples of Christ who are devoted to worship, instruction,
fellowship, service, witness, prayer, and giving. We desire to see middle and high school students discover faith in Jesus Christ and develop into fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.
Passion for God
Love for students and a desire to see them grow in Christ
Experience working with youth in a church setting
Four year bible degree
Bilingual in Spanish
Develop influential relationships with Jr. and Sr. High students.
Create and implement a comprehensive plan for reaching students in the Hermiston area who do not
have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Create and implement a comprehensive plan for moving students from infancy to maturity in their
relationship with Jesus Christ.
Run and oversee weekly Sunday school for Jr. High and Sr. High students.
Equip and involve adults as youth staff to share the ministry.
Equip and involve students as staff where possible to share the ministry.
Keep regular office hours.
Attend weekly staff meeting.
Administration of the student ministry budget
Occasional participation in main services on Sunday mornings.
Attend twice monthly Elder Board meetings
Assist in other ministry related activities as directed by the Senior Pastor.
Encourage those who may desire to follow God’s call to missions through summer mission programs
