Strategic plans call for a new Teaching Pastor at FBCFL to leverage Pastor Larry’s core vision for the church. The Teaching Pastor will help further this vision through effective, creative, and dynamic preaching and teaching, as well as the creation and
development of education classes for believers of every stage. First Baptist Church Fort Lauderdale embraces a conversational, expository style of teaching. The Teaching Pastor will serve as an inspiring, authentically Biblical, and relational communicator.
The successful candidate will be able to thrive in a large multi-cultural, multi-faceted, and diverse growing church and community culture where relationships, authenticity, integrity, and loyalty are critical. Consistent, quality teaching is imperative.
The Teaching Pastor must be able to focus significant energy throughout the week to prayerfully study God’s word in preparation to deliver excellent weekend messages. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working as an effective weekend
communicator and member of a large ministry team in a ministry setting that is both multi-cultural and multi-generational. He will hold a Master of Divinity or similar degree from an accredited seminary.
