Job Description:

Community Fellowship Church’s mission is to make committed followers of Christ. We are located in Lancaster, PA.


The Community Kids Director is responsible to lead the Community Kids Ministry. This role will help lead kids from birth to fourth grade and their families into deeper relationships with God. The Community Kids Director is responsible to develop, foster, and drive the vision of Community Kids with passion and excellence. Additionally, this position is responsible to effectively lead and shepherd volunteers committed to accomplishing CFC’s purpose, and to intentionally cultivate personal relationships with adult volunteers, kids, and parents.



  • Fulfill the duties required of CFC members as outlined in membership covenant
  • Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in the Scriptures
  • Philosophical alignment with CFC leadership
  • Passionate about disciple making, developing leaders, and casting vision
  • Demonstrated discipleship, administrative, and teaching skills
  • Proven track record in ministry
  • Possesses shepherding influence, verbal communication skills, and cultural awareness
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
  • Kids ministry experience in a church of 500 or more a plus
  • Familiarity with Orange Curriculum a plus

  • Proven success at multi-tasking, time management, and prioritizing
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality and trust
  • Ability to work with, and maintain positive, loyal relationships with those inside and outside of CFC


  • Oversee leading CFC’s Community Kids Ministry, which includes children birth through fourth grade
  • Craft a weekend kids experience that involves relevant Bible teaching, fun, large group worship, and practical application
  • Provide a safe environment for kids to be nurtured and cared for
  • Create an environment within the ministry that develops a hunger and thirst for God’s Word and prayer
  • Collaborate with other leaders and volunteers to carry the overall mission of CFC beyond Sunday mornings and into the family
  • Recruit, train, organize, and shepherd Community Kids Ministry volunteers
  • Plan childcare for other CFC events or evenings
  • Attend weekly Executive Ministry Team meetings

Weekly Time Commitment: Full Time (In Transition)
