Job Description:

We are looking to fill a position in our Media Department with a person who is able to see ideas to completion in a rapidly changing and exciting environment. As a member of the Media Team, the ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of projects and tasks related to multiple worship experiences, events and publications for ministries throughout the entire church. We value our staff and our staff values their role and the impact they make in transforming lives for Jesus.


The Ark Church began in 1996 with Pastor Alan & Joy Clayton and 2 other couples coming out of Lakewood Church under founding pastor, John Osteen (Joel's father.)  We are a contemporary evangelical church with a charismatic background currently averaging 6,000-7,000 in weekly attendance.


Desired Skills, Experience and Duties:

  • Posess a growing relationship with Jesus, heart for the church, and a calling to use their skills to advance all the ministries of The Ark Church
  • Must be coachable and teachable
  • 2+ years experience in administrative role preferred
  • Posess the skills and passion for administration and organization
  • Extremely detail-oriented, organized and have exceptional time management skills
  • Strong in both written and verbal communications
  • Results-oriented, intelligent, well-rounded, flexible, adaptable to frequent change and always be striving to become better
  • Have ability to: manage multiple tasks and projects in an organized fashion, meet deadlines, and produce high quality work
  • Ability to quickly adjust priorities to respond to pressing demands
  • Expected to handle a sizable and varied workload
  • Be self-motivated but also able to work well with a team
  • Knowledgeable in all Microsoft Office Applications and|or the current Mac OS Operating System
  • Skilled and experienced in event planning and coordination 
  • Have the ability to instinctively plan and think ahead
  • Have a willingness to learn and expand his or her knowledge in regards to graphic design through the following software: inDesign, Photoshop and the entire Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
  • Knowledgeable in the aspects of branding/advertising with the ability to adhere to The Ark Church’s brand standards
  • Ability to create and edit a variety of graphic designs related to multiple worship experiences, events and publications
  • Adaptable to working with many different departments to conceptualize, design, and execute deliverables
  • Posess strong people skills and be an excellent communicator, whether you’re writing or talking 
  • Administrate the content, events, news, graphics, videos, etc for church websites and all social media outlets
  • Able to edit a range of documents, correcting any grammatical, typographical, or compositional errors for his or her own writing via email marketing, web and social media strategies
  • Manage, oversee, and execute department budget by tracking, reporting and making purchases

Office Hours: Full time (Monday - Friday with special events and services as needed.)
