Our mission is to pursue and equip families to passionately follow Christ.

Bethany Evangelical Free Church is part of the Evangelical Free Church of America. We are located on the Mississippi River Valley of La Crosse, Wisconsin. We have grown to a church with an average attendance at 800 each Sunday in three worship services plus a Video Venue. We minister to about 180 children (nursery—5th grade) and 130 students (6th grade –12th grade).

Our congregation is well balanced in terms of age range. In addition to the children and students mentioned above the breakdown of ages in attendance are 1) College/20 Something’s – 50; 2) 20’s – 150; 3) 30’s – 150; 4) 40’s – 125; 5) 50’s – 110; 6) 60’s – 50; 7) 70’s – 35; 8) 80’s – 25. Our people have a variety of education and income levels and many in our congregation are whitecollar professionals or high technology managers and executives. Our annual giving approximates $1.3 million (including missions).

Our facility hosts a 325 seat worship center, a 3/4 size gymnasium, a kitchen, and two large classrooms on the upper lever; and offices, children classrooms, and the nursery on the lower level. We also host a “white house” which is a two story very large home where our Facilities Coordinator and wife live in the upper level and the lower level currently serves as our Student Ministries Center. The gymnasium is currently being used to house a variety of ministries; KIDstuf (a fun, musical, high energy, Sunday morning ministry where families come together to learn Biblical virtues and family values), Adult Bible studies throughout the week, AWANA, and miscellaneous conferences and meetings.
