Worship Leader, Full Time

New Song Church is looking for a dynamic, innovative leader to conceive, develop, plan, and execute weekly worship services and other events. The candidate will have the freedom to develop a faith-filled, inspiring, relevant and impactful worship experience
for both fully-devoted believers and those just beginning to discern faith in God.
Balance the importance of ministering to, recruiting, and training a team of vocalists, instrumentalists, and technical support to create a cohesive, spiritually-significant worship service that makes an impact for Christ. The candidate will help lead, shape
and oversee the worship and connectional culture of the church in conjunction with the church’s leadership; he/she will work to “bring alive” the Church’s mission, vision and core values. New Song desires a likeable, easy-going person with the ability to both
motivate and mobilize people. Other responsibilities include: oversight of weekly rehearsals, development of media presentations for worship, insure the schedules for each part of the team are in order, and attend weekly staff meetings. Additional tasks:
research and select music, possess an ability to recognize musical talent from within the congregation and encourage development of these graces, and to compile an annual budget for the purchase of music, equipment and supplies (within purchasing guidelines).
Candidate is expected to continue developing both personally and professionally on all levels and be humble in character, spiritual growth, leadership, and musical/technical skills.
Candidate will have a mature, strong and growing relationship with Jesus Christ who possesses a servant’s heart, along with being gifted in music as an expression of faith and creative artistic discernment. Technical skills are preferred, to include visual/media
illustration software and related needs for instrumental, vocal and audio-visual equipment. Instrumental qualities and vocal gifts are desired. Other qualifications include: strong visionary, leadership and teaching gifts; ability to lead teams; brainstorming
and creativity; planning and organizational skills; dependability; extensive familiarity in contemporary worship; self-discipline and self-motivation; effective team building and motivating; to be a competent communicator (both interpersonally and publicly).
Job performance will be evaluated annually by the Lead Pastor and Staff-Parish Personnel Relations Team.
- This position is full-time; a minimum of 40 hours each week is expected.

- Transition expense allowance of $1,500 available to successfully-hired candidate.
- Church Membership at New Song Church is expected, along with affirmation of New Song’s leadership structure, direction, and system of denominational governance as part of the United Methodist Church.
