UPPER ELEMENTARY COORDINATOR

 

Highly relational, team focused, and Christ-Centered are words we believe will describe our Upper Elementary Coordinator, who will directly oversee the spiritual formation aspect of the 2nd-4th Grade ministry. (approximately 250 children). 

 

We are looking for someone who is passionate about children growing spiritually and having them powerfully experience the love of Christ. Although this person will play a key role in Children’s Ministry wide events and activities, the main focus will be leading and establishing a firm spiritual foundation in the lives of 2nd – 4th grade by creating engaging experiences and providing depth of content and depth of relationships within the context of small groups. He/she will also need to create a culture that engages and equips parents to spiritually lead their families, building the ministry both deep and wide.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Recruit and Lead a Highly Effective Volunteer Team to Help Kids Grow Spiritually

  • Build a culture defined by love and unity
  • Recruit volunteers and train, lead and direct them for maximum impact
  • Partner with Upper Elementary Director in planning and delivering high-caliber trainings

Lead and Coordinate Small Group Ministry

  • Ensure small groups’ content and curriculum inspire life change
  • Train leaders to facilitate highly relational and transformational groups 

Serve and Support Team Members Before, During, and After the Sunday Services

  • Ensure room is fully staffed and resources are prepared in advance
  • Answer questions and serve as a resource 

Cultivate Relationships With Children and Families

  • Connect relationally with children and families during drop-off and pick-up times
  • Build relationships with children during the weekend service
  • Pray for the children and families you serve 

Complete Administrative Responsibilities for the Upper Elementary Ministry

  • Maintain all administrative documentation (attendance, follow-up reports, etc.)
  • Complete screening, processing, and paperwork for all volunteers
  • Assist in curriculum preparation and development

Model a Growing and Vibrant Relationship with Christ

  • Pursue full devotion to Christ and live the life we are inviting others to live
  • Manifest the fruit of the spirit in all work habits and relationships
  • Embody other-centered, servant-leadership in all interactions

Demonstrate Commitment to Cherry Hills Community Church

  • Pursue church membership
  • Accept and uphold CHCC’s Essentials of Our Faith

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree

POSITION TYPE: Full Time, Exempt
