The Chapel is a kingdom minded, non-denominational, attractional/missional, multi-site church that gathers across the northern suburbs of Chicago. The church began in 1994, with a handful of people meeting in a warehouse unit in Grayslake, IL, and currently more than 6,000 people gather every weekend across The Chapel’s eight campuses.  The Chapel believes God is calling them to experience the fullness of biblical faith by living out the Scripture in their daily lives. For this reason, they are committed to making disciples of Jesus who share in his life and ministry, bringing God’s kingdom to everyone in their world.

The Chapel is a unique church that has embraced 21st century technology and methods to communicate God’s Word and build strong relationships among its church body and beyond. They embrace the arts wholeheartedly, including a band-driven worship environment, featuring visual media elements. Their thematic approach to programming creates elements congruent to teaching that is relevant, engaging and biblical. 


The Director of Communications will be responsible for skillfully and creatively overseeing the church’s strategic communication, messaging, branding, identity and marketing across all mediums. He or She will effectively lead a group of specialists to implement all elements of a comprehensive communication plan. This includes; Content Development, Graphic design, Website/Mobile Applications, Social Media, Print, Video and Calendaring.

The Chapel is looking for a clear thinking, directional leader with the right blend of abilities to develop DNA branding throughout the entire church, build staff, create clearly defined processes and develop structure for communication flow internally and externally.

The new communications director will be provided the opportunity to make a significant difference throughout the church in a very short period of time. They should find great satisfaction as a leader, creative communicator and artist.
