Bonhomme is a Presbyterian (ECO) church located in Chesterfield, Missouri.

Our church was established in 1816 and has a congregation of approximately 1400 members.  We are searching for a full-time Associate Pastor (Minister) who has the God given gifts of inspiring and connecting people with opportunities for fellowship and mutual care within our church.


Position Description:  The Associate Pastor (Minister) for Community life will architect and operationalize a strong relational web at Bonhomme. This will be done by development of a robust culture of small groups, strong pastoral care, and a strong church-wide sense of community reinforced through occasional church-wide major events.

Leadership:  Member of Session (“ex officio” if not ordained). If ECO pastor member of Presbytery, member of Executive Team, staff liaison and leadership to Community Life and Community Care Ministries.


Community Life:  Developing and overseeing social groups providing relational connective tissue for the congregation.  Development and administration of strong group ministries.

Community Care:  In collaboration with the Community Care team, lead pastoral team responsible for hospital, nursing home and homebound visitation.


Pastoral Ministry:  Provide Stephen Ministry staff leadership and training. Provide pastoral counseling and direct funerals as needed.


Worship:  Occasional preaching as requested.  Occasional worship leadership.


Communications:  Works closely with the Director of Communications and Marketing to establish strong social networking presence to enhance “virtual” community among church members.  Works with Director of Communications and Marketing to promote small group, social groups and CC,Cl life opportunities before the congregation.
