Our Executive Pastor of Ministries gives leadership at the highest level to the vision, strategic plans, major initiatives and annual goals in order to reduce lostness and ensure that every man, woman and child in Greater Austin has multiple opportunities to see, hear, and respond to the gospel. This person will manage and coach staff  (who in turn lead ministries/departments) helping them develop and execute clear goals (Ministry Action Plans), budgets and initiatives that improve the reach and impact of their ministries. They also serve on our Executive Team with oversight to multi-site expansion (one church in multiple locations), church planting, and all church-wide and city-wide initiatives. 


The ideal candidate is a leader of leaders with a predisposition for growth and expansion; they are able to work well in a collaborative environment of high level leaders that embraces feedback, measures progress and strives for improvement. This person should have the ability to find and advance God’s mission for the church, community, city and world (in alignment with HCBC’s vision) and are committed to personal evangelism. It is required that they have managed teams of strong leaders, are theologically aligned and have executive pastoral experience in a large church or similar/relevant environment. Multi-site and church planting experience is preferred.
