Lighthouse Tabernacle is dedicated to making a greater impact locally by investing heavily in the next generation and globally by supporting world missions activity. We are a multiethnic, multicultural and multigenerational church. We average 700-800 on Sundays and 1,000+ on holidays but believe there can be significant growth by restructuring our staff to create several new part-time positions. Children’s Ministry Director (Part-Time) 15 hours/week

Our children’s ministry is one of the strengths and highest priorities of the church. On Sundays there are 100+ children in elementary and preschool with the potential for much more growth. We currently use the 252 Basics curriculum.



Oversee children’s ministry (elementary and pre-k) on Sunday and on Wednesday night

Recruit, train and support volunteer workers

Provide vision to take our children’s ministry to the next level

Schedule regular worker training sessions

Oversee the service portion of our annual VBS (Four nights in July/Aug)



Experience as a spiritual leader

Experience in a large children’s ministry

Able to work hands-on with kids, volunteers and parents.

Academic degree preferred, will consider a combination of experience and academics

Relevant education is a plus

Ministerial education and credentials are a plus


Expectations as a church leader:

Team collaboration: We meet regularly for prayer, discussion and evaluation

Spiritual well-being: Regular involvement in a small group or Bible study class

Leadership development: We often read books, watch videos and have dialog
