Job Description:

Position: Director of Facilities


Position Statement: To lead the Facilities Team in being a good steward of the resources God has given Palm Valley Church through development and maintenance, both during the week and on the weekend.


Estimated Time: Full-time, 40+hours/week    Reports to: Pastor of Operations


-        Attention to detail, and excellence

-        Ability to build and lead volunteer teams

-        Capacity to lead employees

-        Knowledge of construction and common maintenance related tasks

-        Ability to professionally represent PVC in community and with vendors/contractors

-        Strong commitment to stewardship


Position Description




1. Main point of contact for facilities

  • Manage facility calendar
  • Emergency contact for events
  • Manage all relationships with vendors
  • Oversee all inspections and safety regulations


2. Maintain all aspects of facilities and resources, both owned and rented

  • All buildings
  • Storage
  • Vehicles, Golf Carts, Trailers, etc


3.  Construction

  • Design, build-out, and remodeling of environments
  • Involvement in design and building of sets and props for all campuses
  • Liaison to City/State when needing permits, etc. 
  • Miscellaneous construction projects (signs, baptism, etc)


4.  Cleaning

  • Regularly clean all surfaces (floors, windows, furniture, restrooms, etc.)
  • Clean all outside environments (trees, parking lot, landscaping, etc.)
  • Deep cleaning as needed



1.  Lead employee facility assistant team

  • Manage schedule
  • Equip and provide ongoing accountability
  • Care and development


2. Lead volunteer teams

  • Hospitality Team
  • Landscape Team
  • Construction Team
  • Security Team
  • Medical Team

Whatever it takes

As with every ministry position, there will be times that the church requires work outside of what is described here. As a ministry we serve the Church, so every Operations team member will be asked to jump in & do whatever is needed to help achieve urgent goals & needs.
