Granada Hills Community Church is a place where people of God meet to worship Him and fellowship with each other in a loving, friendly environment. We are looking for a versatile individual with good administrative, musical, and teaching skills
who is called to oversee and accomplish three important parts of ministry. These are all aspects we are seeking to fulfill in
one single paid staff position.
Associate/Worship & Youth Pastor
The role of Associate Pastor requires flexibility as the duties range widely depending on need. Given that the church rents out to a Christian school, property management is a ministry that demands overseeing. Special event supervision and facilitating
communication between ministries is seen as a big plus for this role. Good administrative skills will have a high priority in this position.
Preparing and implementing high quality weekly Sunday worship experiences is a must, and planning special worship services such as Good Friday, Easter and Christmas are par for the course. Our worship style is modern, and while we may include a rearranged
contemporary hymn now and then, we wouldn’t classify ourselves as a “blended service.” The Associate Pastor must be able to read music, possess the ability to sing well, and play an accompaniment instrument.
Our church has taken a youth outreach approach on Wednesday nights and run with it. Having the ability to relate the Gospel to a secular young audience is a skill we are looking for. Mentoring young people who have made commitments of faith takes place
on Sunday mornings before worship in our Sunday school class. Good teaching skills and a heart for discipleship allow this ministry to flourish. Organizing youth outings, including summer activities is part of the Associate Pastor’s routine and allows for
a time of team bonding.
Please send resume and a video link of your worship leading experiences to Pastor Enoch at EnochGHCC@earthlink.net.
